History

1962 Wetron is founded by Jan Maas. The name Wetron is short for
‘Weerter Transport Onderneming’.
1968 Build of company building, office and own workshop.
1973 Build of first storage facility for storage and own workshop.
1980 Expansion of storage facility.
1990 Build of a third storage facility with an additional 12.500 m2.
1995 Introduction of ‘intermodal’ transport, mainly to and from Italy.
1997 Build of a new office.
2001 Foundation of Wetron Logistics B.V.
2004 Opening of a logistic center of 8500 m2, another storage, truck wash,
gas station, secured parking and customs warehouse.
2006 (1) Opening of branch office in Slovakia.
2006 (2) Intermodal services to and from Spain.
2007 Intermodal services to and from Austria and surrounding countries (H,SK,CZ).
2008 Further expansion of intermodal services and logistic activities.
